ARC Communications was founded by Annabel Riordan in 2022. Annabel has worked for the world's most well known brands in tech, venture capital, and consumer goods. Her broad perspective and experience working with companies and firms of all sizes makes her an agile, flexible communications partner for companies looking to take their strategy to the next level.
About Annabel
Annabel Riordan is a communications expert trusted by leading venture capital firms, high-growth startups and Fortune 500 companies to develop effective strategies and navigate critical communications challenges. She founded ARC Communications after holding positions at Sequoia Capital, Facebook, Edelman and APCO Worldwide. ​

In 2019, Annabel joined Sequoia Capital as the second member of their communications team. At Sequoia, she played a pivotal role in shaping the reputation and global narrative around the firm and its partners. She spearheaded the communications strategy for the firm's first ever public announcement of a new fund, and worked closely with its wide range of portfolio companies on funding announcements, crisis communications, IPO communications and media preparedness.
Prior to Sequoia, Annabel spent five years at Facebook, where she led product and consumer communications for high profile product launches. Notably, she led the launch of Messenger Kids, the company’s first ever product for kids under 13 that attracted intense global attention in a highly charged media environment. She was also part of many other major product launches, such as Facebook Stories, Marketplace, Facebook Live, Facebook's popular 'Year in Review' videos and website, and several new standalone apps.

In her career, she has placed her companies and clients in top tier media, including The New York Times, The TODAY Show, CNBC, Bloomberg, TechCrunch, The Information, and more.

Annabel began her career advising clients in the areas of corporate citizenship, crisis communications and change management at APCO Worldwide and Edelman in New York City. She now lives with her husband and two daughters in the greater Boston area.
